of these ONE OF A KIND dogs, they are ONE OF A KIND because
they have the Euro lineages and the social development that
NO ONE else combines. They also help us foster victimized
pets from the human centers, and allow us to donate puppy's
to handicapped or hospitalized children. |
There is a lot of controversy and misguided information online about teacup dogs.
The thing is, its all true! WHAT! Well, to an extent.
You see there are breeds who have
a gene that stunts the size of the dog, and there are runts.
Also there different variations of the smaller structure genealogy.
Take the poodle for instants, they have teacup poodles, that are just the smaller variation of the toy poodle, perfectly healthy, but cannot be bred.
Why cant they be bred? Well they do not have the many generations behind them supporting that gene, such as the Yorkie dose.
Also you must be careful that you do not buy a runt, lots of breeders well sell a runt as a teacup. always ask the parents size.
A true teacup has generations of the smaller structured genes along the blood line.
They are just as healthy as the big ones. but of course sense they are smaller they can easy get hurt if stepped on, or played ruffly, These are not dogs for young children.
Now
what about the Micro?
Well teacups are many, many generations in to breeding
but the micro just started, branched out and through the teacup
Yorkie genealogy.
Teacups are 5-4 pounds, where
a micro is 3 and under. and again, please make sure you do not
buy a runt! Runt do tend to have alot of health problems, and
sometimes can catch up in growth any how.
There are tests they can run to see if the puppy is healthy and
not a runt. Any professional breeder would be able to tell just
from raising the puppy, and again refer to the parents.
Micros, being fairly new (under 20 generations) are not recognized,
and so the breeder should state by the puppy the generation, such
as F-3 meaning third generation in size.

Such as size in our case the imperial bloodlines, hair coloring in our case selected standard bloodline, and structure in our case the Mediterranean bloodline. With these lineages carefully selected and combined you get an awesome Designer puppy without altering its breed, (sometimes an extra breed will be included so breeders can try to get the desired result, we have found keeping the linage true and just doing the extra work really pays off with the end result.)
What Is F1, F2, F3 ....? First Generation "F1", Second "F2" and so on... The best generation wise is any after F3, which improves consistency and stabilizes the gene structure. Now there is some controversy over this, but its really just misleading information, as with any aspect of your dogs health or temperament you should always do your home work and research the breed, be aware some breeders may mislead you, ask questions if the answers don't sound right, then find one that dose. the best bet is dictionary sites that do not breed, search hybrid vigor, and search inbreeding, and click the dictionary links, that's the most reliable way to retrieve untempered information. In all reality the more generations, the better and healthier the hybrid or designer dog. The genes, for one are more spread. A lot of purebreds have high recessive genes due to inbreeding. but the thing is, due to the supply of designer dogs, a lot of designer dog breeders inbreed, in this case each generation is by far worse. so it depends on the breeder. That's one of the reasons you need a registered or pedigree for your dog. So this way you know the family linage, and have the security of healthy lines. Most designer breeders do not register, so they do get away with it. Alot of adopters think well I'm not going to breed, so why do i need papers? Well that's why, so be sure your puppy isn't inbred. its unmoral, and unhealthy. Anyways due to the fact there are more designer breeders out there inbreeding, That give the first generation the stats to say that, and perhaps they just really don't know about the hybrid vigor, but if the pup is registered, or isn't inbred, the hybrid vigor overrules, allowing more vast genery, and healthy dominate genes. Besides Hybrid Vigor, reducing recessive genes and expanding the DNA coding of the purebred ancestry, another advantage of a F3 or later generation is the consistency. New hybrids can have dominate genes such as the under bite of the shih tzu become more prominent. Where a hybrid dog after several generations has become stable and more consistent, giving it a very sturdy structure. Also not all mix dogs are hybrid, a hybrid dog was carefully planned with certain traits in mind. After over viewing countless Veterinary clinics, and reviewing them inside and out. From the morals they stand by and the care they invest into each beloved pet among other aspects. We have finally decided on a permanent Veterinarian. We have chosen Lake Country because they have by far exceeded our expectations, We had heard of them through a neighbor when we were fostering a lost dog, she told me this vet would check for a chip free of charge and also takes in homeless animals and adopts them out. When we had arrive we automatically felt at peace, its wooded landscaping and very earth bound construction (instead of the icy cold architect of most vets) made us feel comfortable at the get go. We were still jumping from vet to vet at the time, I wanted a moral bound but professional vet and it was a hard find. So at once we decided this maybe the right place. As i waited for my first visit with Dr. Rolf Lippke over a Rescue Yorkie i was waiting to have a surgery with, i had noticed an older lady coming in with a bichon who had lots of serous problems. The staff greeted her with the utmost respect, and they had been carrying a tab for her due to the extreme expenses of her older dogs illnesses. I went to talk to the staff, and found out they had a good moral standing with the community and did carry from time to time during hardships, however this had put a great strain on the clinic so they had to stop doing so, but in all reality still do from time to time giving the situation. During our next few visits with Dr. Keith French (Who is our chosen Vet) We had taken puppies in for health certificate's. He did a very through job, even though the certificate dose not require it he checked for heart murmurs, and skeletal defects, and much more in depth overview. So not only did i find a very moral and professional Vet But a very Honest and caring one as well. The prices are also VERY reasonable, and with no hidden charges! They also well tell you if, you can administer the treatment and show you how, or if you can buy the needed supplies or medications from the store!!!! This is a one of a kind vet, if your looking for a vet i would strongly suggest coming here, if your not local try to find one who has the same qualities. Now days a lot of vets are like mechanics, and its hard to find the right guy for the job, but if you just take the time, do the research needed and then try a few visits till you find the right one, it will pay off in the long run. Please Note: Even though we adopt a few different breeds we only own a few house held pets, Two female Teddy Bears, a Male Teddy Bear, a Female Shichon, a Female Teacup Yorkie and a Female Parti Yorkie. They are also not all under one ownership, Me and my parents own them as you'll see in our About Us Page. Each Dog has his or her own Human owner, so they get all the attention they need.
